ZOLT.GG
Survival guide · battlefield quickstart

Start fast. Build smart. Pick your fights.

Zolt.gg is a high-rate Rust battlefield: resources are plentiful, but positioning, team discipline, and knowing the rules matter more than grinding.

Server basics: connect through the address shown on the home page, read the in-game welcome message, and keep this page handy for the first few minutes.

1. Join and orient yourself

Use the server connect details on zolt.gg, then take a moment to learn the current map and safe areas before leaving spawn.

On connection

  • Read the welcome and rules messages.
  • Confirm your team and voice-chat plan.
  • Open the map and mark a resource route, a build area, and a fallback point.

Good first destination

  • Choose a defensible spot with cover and more than one exit.
  • Stay clear of monuments and roads until you have basic protection.
  • Do not build in a restricted or clearly claimed area.

2. Your first minute

Secure the essentials

  1. Gather enough wood and stone for a starter tool set and a small base.
  2. Craft a building plan, hammer, lock, storage, and a sleeping bag.
  3. Place the bag somewhere hidden before taking a long fight.

Use the high-rate economy

Because materials arrive quickly, spend less time stockpiling and more time making a secure route. Replace exposed starter boxes with locked storage, then move valuables inside a tool-cupboard-protected base.

3. Kits and loadouts

Use the available kit commands shown in the server help. Kit names and cooldowns can change with a wipe, so the in-game list is authoritative.

NeedBest approachReminder
Starter gearClaim the basic kit once you have a bag and a place to store it.Do not carry every valuable item into your first fight.
Combat gearUse a combat kit when you are ready to accept the risk of losing it.Keep a spare weapon and medical items at home.
Building suppliesTake only what you need for the next secure upgrade.Return to storage between runs.

4. Teleport and combat restrictions

Teleport is a convenience, not an escape button. Use the command shown in the current server help and expect restrictions when you are exposed to combat.

Before teleporting

  • Move to a safe position and stop attacking.
  • Check that you are not wounded, mounted, looting, or inside a blocked area.
  • Wait out any active combat restriction and keep your destination sensible.

Fair-play boundary

  • Do not teleport through an active fight, raid, or base defence.
  • Do not use alternate accounts or outside coordination to bypass restrictions.
  • Respect a player who has disengaged; do not turn a rule into a loophole.

In short: if you recently dealt or received damage, assume teleport is unavailable until the server says otherwise.

5. Economy and trading

Make value quickly

Farm only the next upgrade, turn surplus into useful ammunition or medical supplies, and trade items your team cannot efficiently produce. Check the current shop or economy commands in Commands.

Trade safely

  • Agree on the item, quantity, and exchange before opening a trade.
  • Use public, visible locations and bring a teammate for high-value deals.
  • Keep a screenshot or short record when a trade goes wrong.

6. Build for the next attack

A compact, upgraded core beats a large exposed shell. Your first base should protect respawns, storage, and a path to expand.

Starter checklist

  • Place a tool cupboard and authorize the whole team.
  • Lock the entrance and keep sleeping bags separated.
  • Add airlocks, a second exit, and a small hidden stash.
  • Upgrade the core before decorating or spreading out.

Raid awareness

  • Do not build directly on a road, monument route, or obvious flat peak.
  • Keep valuable loot in more than one location.
  • Log off inside a protected room, not in an open compound.

7. Reporting problems

Report rule breaks, exploits, harassment, or technical issues through the community channel linked below. Clear evidence helps staff act quickly.

  1. Note the player name, approximate time, location, and what happened.
  2. Capture a short clip or screenshots where possible; do not edit out the context.
  3. Send the report privately through the staff/report route, not as a public argument.
  4. Do not retaliate or attempt to investigate someone by breaking rules yourself.

8. Wipe cadence

Wipes reset map progress and may change kits, balance, or server rules. Check the home page, in-game announcements, and community notices for the next confirmed schedule.

Before a wipe

Use spare resources, finish experiments, and record anything your team wants to rebuild. Avoid making permanent plans from old map locations.

After a wipe

Re-read the welcome message, check the current commands and kit list, and treat the first day as a fresh contest for routes and territory.

Quick answers

Where do I find the current commands?

Use the in-game help message or the commands guide. Command names and cooldowns can change after a wipe.

Why did my teleport fail?

You may still be in combat, wounded, mounted, looting, or inside a restricted area. Move to safety and try again after the restriction clears.

What should I do if a player breaks the rules?

Disengage, save evidence, and send a focused report with the player name, time, location, and context.
